Volunteer on our Farm

Running a 15 acre site takes a lot of work; volunteer support is vital to making the farm a success and we massively appreciate those that work alongside our paid staff on our farm. In return volunteers learn growing skills, get active, and get the chance to spend time outdoors with lovely folk. There are tasks available for all skill levels, from seed sowing, planting, weeding and harvesting vegetables to many other odd jobs. If you’re interested in joining, please contact us! Our main volunteer days are Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 5pm. Volunteers are welcome to come all day, or just a morning or afternoon. We are not able to always offer under 18 volunteering. Please double check with regards to under 18s.
Getting there
Regather Farm is based on Lightwood Lane just off the ring road between Gleadless and Norton. Current volunteers walk, cycle, drive or use public transport. Buses from near the city centre that go near the start of Lightwood Lane include 11, 18, 1a, 20. From the bus it is a 25 minute walk to the Farm. Travel expenses are provided."I've really enjoyed my time at Regather farm - it's a brilliant way to learn more about what goes into running a successful organic farm. I've really valued the varied opportunities each volunteer day brings, from planting to harvesting no day is the same - couldn't recommend it highly enough"
