The Hills are Alive!
Two friends, both alike in dignity, in fair Sheffield where we lay our scene. One from out of town. The other here for half his life has been. Our duo re-united once more. To rekindle their joy of the dance floor. From pub to dub and then to the great outdoors.
Ready to trip down memory lane. Ready to re-live the good old days! When the sound of music meant the hills were alive. But....
The Little Unsaid release a new album for Reveal Records (home of Lau, Joan As Police Woman, Eddi Reader and more) in 2018. Fronted by songwriter John Elliott, The Little Unsaid have spent the last year touring Europe, leaving audiences emotionally rapt with a live show that’s been described as ‘a thumping depth of passion’. Their sound is all their own but echoes the intensity and melancholic overtones of greats such as Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen. Suport from the superb songwritier Andy Whitehouse of The Silver Darlings fame. (£8)Tickets & More Info »
It’s always a pleasure to welcome back the one and only Diane Cluck. The Virginia-based singer-songwriter of intuitive folk music has been influential in the development of the Anti-folk scene and has collaborated with Jeffrey Lewis and CocoRosie. Her performances here over the years have always been very special and we're looking forward to hosting her. Get in there quick as it will be a busy one! “Diane Cluck is a virtuosic talent with an emotionality that feels at once ancient and alien. Her mastery of her voice as an ecstatic instrument is so compelling.” – Anohni (of Antony & The Johnsons) (£12)Tickets & More Info »
'Motion’ is a new collaborative album from established sound artists, Toby Marks (Banco de Gaia) and Andrew Heath. Four immersive soundscapes were created and compiled featuring field recordings from recent trips to the North, South, East and West of Britain. Each trip took as it’s theme a particular form of transport which, in addition to other environmental sounds from those areas, were processed and transformed, blending piano, guitars and electronics to produce a deeply meditative, endlessly unfolding collection. Sometimes evoking images of machinery, sometimes of nature, the pieces flow and twist, at all times maintaining a humanity and sense of personal experience at their core.Tickets & More Info »

After a sold out show at Regather in 2018, we're very excited to be hosting one of our favourite modern balladeers, along with our old friends at Regather. Ewan McLennan has come to be known as a guitarist at the very forefront of his generation; a troubadour, balladeer and storyteller cut in the old style; a singer that can move audiences with his passion and pathos; and a songwriter for whom social justice is still a burning issue. From a…Tickets & More Info »
