Since its inception, Regather has been supporting other individuals, groups and organisations to grow and establish their business ideas.
In 2014 to 2016, our social enterprise support package took the form of Lead the Change, a programme funded by UnLtd and Esmee Fairburn and allowed us to make awards of up to £5,000 to budding social entrepreneurs.
Now we are on the next stage of our journey and have been selected as a Social Enterprise Exchange Local Incubator.
Social Enterprise Exchange is a project designed to offer a comprehensive programme of support for social enterprise in Sheffield City Region. It is delivered by a community-based consortium in collaboration with Sheffield City Region Growth Hub and funded by European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020.
The purpose of the project is to contribute to jobs, growth and social inclusion with the objective of supporting at least 120 social enterprises over a three year period, creating at least 50 social enterprise start-ups and delivering at least 50 new full-time sustainable jobs. Social Enterprise Exchange will promote social entrepreneurship, through awareness raising events, knowledge exchange and peer networking; it will provide step-up support for start-ups, including hot-desks, start-up grants and mentoring; and it will offer specialist enterprise advice and support for existing social enterprises to grow and to develop new products and services.
As a Local Incubator, Regather is interested in hearing from individuals interested in social enterprise and looking for hot-desking space.
