Fire cider is a traditional folk remedy, generally created during autumn and winter months to enhance immunity, digestion and circulation, keeping winter ailments such as colds and flu at bay. Fire cider has been made by Herbalists, Grandparents and Parents for generations and the recipe has been passed down and kept among the people, remaining a highly valued remedy which can made at home. Fire cider also makes a lovely winter gift for family and friends and this is the perfect time of year to work with the wonderful medicinal roots, herbs and spices that make up this powerful winter tonic.
During this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to get hands on in the making process, while learning about the medicinal properties and benefits of each of the ingredients, herbs and spices. We’ll also have some fun with remedy tasting and everyone will receive a take home recipe and reference list of ingredients detailing the benefits and traditional uses of each ingredient. Together we’ll be making up a batch of fire cider and at the end of the workshop you will take home your own medicinal fire cider remedy!
