Challah and Rugelach Baking School

An event every month that begins at 10:00 am on day First of the month, repeating until 01/12/2019
Hosted by the fantastic Tower of Bagel, this day course is suitable for anyone who has had a bit of baking experience and would like to create some wonderful braided challah bread and have a go at Rugelach, a rolled pastry filled with pretty much anything you like!
Challah is a celebration bread; cottony and luxurious, you will love tearing chunks off your poppy seed covered loaf and dipping in humous or baba ganoush or after a day or so (if you can leave it alone that long) as french toast.
You will be be making two batches of challah and discuss a number of recipes; we will do a three braid challah to get going and then you can choose what shape you would like on the second batch. So, there will be plenty of baked challah to take home which you can share with your families and friends. All challah recipes discussed will be shared with you.
We will also make some Rugelach or ‘little twists’; the recipe for this is really very easy and you will have a chnace to make both a savoury and a sweet one.
All the equipment you need will be provided as well as a Tower of Bagel notebook for you to use and take away. A vegetarian and vegan lunch will be provided and is included in the price along with tea and coffee.
